I Jumped!

I've jumped in the pond.  I've made the commitment.  I'm on my way.  My mode of travel come April will change from this.....

To this......

I've put my deposit down and will be picking it up just before Christmas.  I guess you can say it will be a gift that will keep on giving.

I'm one step closer to my travel date in April.  The open road, on MY  schedule is calling me.

  4. What kind of details do you want Marie? It's around 17ft long, 1988, 120,000miles (l posted KM;s on blog), has fridge, stove, micro (probably won't use) toilet, shower, upper bunk which l will use for storage (since that is one thing that is really lacking) and a couch/sofa that flips out to a double bed. I paid $4500 certified, the people only owned it for just over a year. They paid $6600 for it, but now are dealing with health issues and can't go live their dream.

If you want to know anything else, let me know. :-)

  5. I'll let you know if I need more details. You're brave to buy something that old to drive for miles. I guess I've had too many scary vehicle experiences to have that kind of trust.

But my friend used to drive her 1990 buick something with nearly 200k miles on it back and forth to Florida all the time (from Ohio) so I know not everyone has my fears around that.

I really like the idea of something under 20' long... much easier to maneuver and park.

    Love following your adventure!

  6. Woot!

120K really isn't that many miles, all things being equal. [And why do we say that, when all other things are never equal?]

    Congratulations!
